Interesting visuals and work with typography in combination can create uniquelly looking, eye-catching posters. These posters have promotional purpose for Bad Omens band and with cool, retro design they annouce their concert in Prague.
The main focus in this poster is the work with typography and custom typeface I’ve created in this project.
I chose bold, heavy typeface for this poster as it represents the meaning this poster holds. Heavy and sharp curves and shapes show the vibrations this poster is supposed to evoke.
As this poster is about Metal core band called Bad Omens, the choosing of colour palette was clear. Primary colors such as red, blue and yellow show simplicity yet they express unity and strong visual identity in various projects.
In the end I gave this poster a crinkled paper texture that I created myself by taking a photo of real crinkled paper and creating a texture out of it by using many various tools in Adobe Photoshop software.
It is also a great decision to create more colour variations of this poster to increase usability and also memorability across different media.
I stayed with the choice of mainly primary colours and I played with the colour combinations for different colour variations where I needed to maintain a good contrast between different colours and keep in mind the importance of each element on the poster.
